Melbourne's ATV was the first station of the network to stage colour broadcasts in 1967, the broadcast was that of the horse races in Pakenham, Victoria, which was seen by network and RCA executives and invited members of the media and press. The new television network was initially dubbed the Independent Television System or ITS, but in 1970 adopted the title The 0-10 Network, which reflected the channels used by the first two stations launched in the group, ATV and TEN. Also opened later that month was SAS-10, serving the city of Adelaide. TEN-10 in Sydney, which opened on 5 April 1965, was originally owned by United Telecasters, which also in July that year opened TVQ-0 in Brisbane. The network was launched as ATV-0 in Melbourne opened on 1 August 1964 and was owned by the Ansett Transport Industries, which at the time owned one of Australia's two domestic airlines. The second tier consisted of the commercial networks and independent stations owned by private operators, whose income came from selling advertising time. One tier consisted of a network of publicly funded television stations run by the ABC, which was funded by government budget allocation and (until 1972) by fees from television viewer licences. Structurally, the Australian television industry was closely modelled on the two-tiered system that had been in place in Australian radio since the late 1930s. The first of these third licences was granted to United Telecasters (a consortium of Amalgamated Wireless, Colonial Sugar Refining Company, Email, Bank of New South Wales and the NRMA) on 4 April 1963. This decision was seen by some as a way for the government to defuse growing public dissatisfaction with the dominance of imported overseas programming and the paucity of local content. In the early 1960s, the Australian Government began canvassing the idea of licensing a third commercial television station in each capital city. History Origins įrom the introduction of TV in 1956 until 1965 there were three television networks in Australia, the National Television Network (now the Nine Network), the Australian Television Network (now the Seven Network), and the public ABC National Television Service (now ABC TV). Occasionally, SBS TV beats Ten in the ratings, pushing it into fifth position. Since 2022, Network 10 is usually the fourth-rated television network and primary channel in Australia, behind the Seven Network, Nine Network and ABC TV. One of five national free-to-air networks, 10's owned-and-operated stations can be found in the state capital cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth while affiliates extend the network to regional areas of the country. Network 10 (commonly known as the 10 Network, Channel 10 or simply 10) is an Australian commercial television network owned by Ten Network Holdings, a division of the Paramount Networks UK & Australia subsidiary of Paramount Global. We have a new DMG package which was build by a community member on Big Sur, but not on a M1 system. If you have one of these, M1-Chip hardware or Big Sur 11.1, you're welcome to test the package and share you're results here: It is reported, that the MacOS package doesn't work on new Mac hardware with M1-Chip and Big Sur 11.1. New Mac hardware with M1-Chip / macOS Big Sur 11.1 Our online manual at is almost up to date with this release candidate. There you can find nightly builds for Windows and macOS, which should be tested and may have issues fixed from this release candidate. Please find here the binary packages for Windows and macOS.Īnd hopefully soon also an AppImage for Linux, any help to achieve this is welcome.Īs the work continues, have a look at our SourceForge site too. There may be still some issues with DWG we want to address and fix for the final 2.2.0 release. We fixed some really serious bugs with DWG reading, what hopefully leads to much less issues and crashes when opening DWG files. More than 280 commits since 2.2.0-rc1 and too much delay, but here it is, the next big step to final 2.2.0 release. This has become possible through OpenCollective and by GitHub Sponsors. These are basically used to pay our expenses for hosting and domain services. There may be LibreCAD 3 releases in parallel in future, but for the time being, not with the features that LibreCAD 2.2 currently offers.Īt last, let me mention, that we recently resumed to accept financial contributions again. That means there will probably be one or two more feature release 2.2.x. These can now be integrated into an unstable development branch. It is still a long way from productive use.Īlso there are still many contributions available for version 2.2 we wont waste. Unfortunately, we have to disappoint people who are hoping for a soon release of LibreCAD 3. This new stable version 2.2.0 finally replaces the previous stable 2.1.3. The new release also has an online manual which is hosted at Read the Docs.
This isn't the most pressing of reasons to dive into a new adventure, but it quickly escalates into an engaging mission to save the world. During the ensuing struggle, he loses his trusted steed, Epona, and is left with no course but to follow the thief into the deep, dark forest. The story begins somewhat lightheartedly, with a young Link being ambushed by a malicious mask-wearing Skull Kid in the forest. Whatever the reason, it is clear that Majora's Mask was not meant to be a simple rehash of Ocarina of Time. Perhaps some developers at Nintendo of Japan had always wanted to create a darker game and saw this release-previously a simple add-on of the late DD64-as a chance to do just that. This, along with the addition of a decidedly somber selection of background music, gives the game a darker tone than Ocarina of Time, but it is works to perfection in this alternate universe. Environmental effects like multiple light-sources are employed to drape all of Majora's Mask's environments in all shades of moody color, casting foreboding shadows on everything in sight. Textures are much more varied, and the character models appear smoother and animate more naturally. To aid the visuals, Nintendo tries its hand at special effects like motion-blur and particle effects for the first time, but it was the augmentations to the game's environments that work the best. Speaking of which, the Expansion Pak allows for many more objects-as well as enemies-to be onscreen this time around. I was taken aback a couple of times when I would stand Link at a particular vantage point and actually be able to see the land extend out in front of me while displaying everything in sight. The graphics and sounds in Ocarina of Time were probably the best I'll ever find on the Nintendo 64, but by taking advantage of the Expansion Pak, Nintendo succeeded in setting Majora's Mask apart from its predecessor.Įxpansive vistas that would have been hidden by blankets of fog and mist in Ocarina of Time now stretch far into the distance. I have to admit that the control scheme did take some getting used to (it still lacks a jump button), but it quickly becomes second nature and is relegated to an afterthought while playing. Considering how perfect that original set up was (right down to the revolutionary Z-targeting system), I can only see it making the transition untouched as a plus. The control system is identical to the original. As it turns out, that is just fine because whatever time I do have here is time well spent.įor the most part, Majora's Mask stays the course first charted by last year's Ocarina of Time. Before I can get settled in, I stumble across a new epic quest-one of the utmost urgency that will occupy my time here and leave me little time to enjoy my stay. It's nice to see the familiar faces of those I became close to while there their familiar mannerisms and comforting (though barely intelligible) vocalizations. It's wonderful to take in all the old familiar sights and sounds. With the tabloids and online gossip columnists speculating about Murphy’s shockingly frail appearance and her sometimes unstable behavior (there’s a clip of her coming across as utterly lost at the 2003 Independent Spirit Awards), Murphy falls under the spell of Simon Monjack, who claimed to be a billionaire, said he had largest collection of Vermeer paintings in the world, spoke of dating Elle Macpherson and Madonna and even said he had cured his cancer through shark cartilage treatments. “What Happened” takes us through Murphy’s rise to stardom and her radical physical transformation, with “Clueless” director Heckerling noting Brittany’s real-life makeover essentially mirrored the arc of her character in the movie. Brittany's father Angelo was convinced 'foul play' played a part in his beloved daughter's death, initially even blaming Simon and falsely claiming he was in a secret relationship with Sharon. Murphy surprised many by marrying Factory Girl executive producer and writer Simon Monjack in May of 2007 after only four months of dating. Many blame her husband, Simon Monjack who died five months later while others believe they were 'cursed.'. Desde 2007 hasta su muerte estuvo casado con la actriz estadounidense Brittany Murphy. On a Sunday morning in December 2009, Brittany Murphy suddenly collapsed in the bathroom of the West Hollywood home she shared with her husband, Simon Monjack. The latter was a con man and pathological liar who swooped into Murphy’s world when she was most vulnerable and took control of virtually every aspect of her career and personal life. Brittany Murphys death in December 2009 has long been a mystery. Simon Mark Monjack (Hillingdon, 9 de marzo de 1970-Los Ángeles, 23 de mayo de 2010) fue un guionista, director y maquillador de cine británico. Brittany Murphy has tied the knot with Simon Monjack, the British writer and director of her latest project, the couple tell PEOPLE. Skilled documentarian Cynthia Hill weaves together a story featuring home-movie footage of a young and bubbly and adorable Brittany clips from Murphy’s movies the occasional re-enactment news footage, and interviews with reporters who covered Murphy’s death, the retired Assistant Chief Coroner who handled Murphy’s case, friends and colleagues such as Heckerling and actress Kathy Najimy, and the mother and brother of Murphy’s late husband, Simon Monjack. The two-part HBO documentary series “What Happened, Brittany Murphy?” reveals how a talented, sweet and likable young star fell prey to the pressures of Hollywood stardom and was manipulated by a nefarious Svengali who turned her life - and death - into something out of a lurid true crime series. In May 2010, Monjack, her husband of two years, was found dead in the same house, which they shared with Murphy's mother, Sharon. Some exclusions apply, please visit our Help Centrefor more details.
Like Minecraft, every new Valheim quest begins in a randomly generated 3D universe. Valheim's opening splits the difference between these. You may figure out in those games that you should punch trees to collect wood, then use that wood to craft useful items, and so on, but otherwise, you can quite easily ignore its hints of a quest. Modern series like Minecraft, meanwhile, begin with a massive, randomly generated world. In a classic series like Legend of Zelda, this is the point where the game might tell players, "It is dangerous to go alone! Take this!" From there, your journey is wide open, but your mission is narrow (usually requiring you to visit specific dungeons, where you'll find essential items and totems of power). Your fate, as told by these stones, is that you must figure out how to conjure supernatural beasts, then defeat them. As the clouds and rain part, a wild forest spreads below, and you're dropped next to a series of rune-covered stones and pillars. Valheim begins with your in-game character-a blocky, low-polygon Viking-carried by a massive crow through a thunderstorm. For an Early Access game, it's honestly hard to tell where Valheim's content thus far runs out. Between these two extremes, I've been astounded by how many ways I've been able to access and enjoy what Valheim has to offer-and to lose track of the gameplay's ceiling of potential. I'm a dozen hours into Valheim, and I've been fortunate to share a multiplayer server with friends who've already cracked the 80-hour mark. This is a survival game made by people who really like survival games-but don't necessarily like the genre's tedium. Get that far, and the game's allure becomes clearer. To understand why the $20 Valheim has surpassed the 2 million sales mark in only 13 days, and why its Early Access buyers can't get enough of it, you have to scrape a few hours beneath the comparison-heady surface level. But starting and ending with the graphics in this epic, Viking-tinged tale misses the modern-gaming forest for the blocky-voxel trees. Hence, it's not surprising to notice similarities to other survival-creation fare like Minecraft and Rust, where glitchy simplicity is part of the charm. We've seen this before when it comes to Steam Early Access hits, usually because a game maker spends more time on gameplay and depth, not screenshots. Depending on what screenshots you stumble upon, you might get some serious PlayStation 1 nostalgia vibes, with characters, animals, and trees that look straight out of the first '90s Tomb Raider game. Valheim is Steam's latest top-selling, out-of-nowhere indie game, and from some angles, it sure looks the part. This power is massively useful, especially in the early game when players will not have access to the food combinations in Valheim that grant massive stamina pools.See, the Vox is much cuter when it's tamed. Thankfully, this power does not have a universal cooldown a group of four players can keep everyone buffed all the time if they are standing close enough to one another. Eikthyr's Forsaken power does have some limitations, however players will not see reduced stamina usage for running up steep hills, and it cannot override Encumber status effects. The power lasts for five minutes and has a cooldown of 20 minutes, but this is plenty to help players get where they need to go and help out in dangerous situations. Like the Elder's power, it also has a very small AOE around the player, allowing them to buff friends that are standing next to them. When activated, running and jumping cost players 60% less stamina than usual. Eikthyr is the first boss that players will battle against, as this lighting-powered elk god is the boss of the Meadows. Planet and moons light configuration supports Module Manager and loading across GameData folder, and can be easily customized by players or other mods.Settings menu to customize many parameters, as well as several quality/performance settings.Very lightweight: almost no RAM used, and your FPS should not change.More realistic ambient light on the ground and atmosphere of planets/moons, tinted by the surface color.More realistic ambient light in vacuum, very dark by default, can be customized. When you are close to a planet or moon, its bright side reflects (colored) light to your vessel. What does this mod actually do? (Summary) This phenomenon is called in real life albedo or planetshine : Valerian decided to fix that with this mod, by making planets and moons to reflect their own (colored) light to your vessel. When in low orbit of a planet, the side of his ship which was facing the planet was completely dark, which was not realistic! It should have been illuminated a bit by the planet's own reflective light! After discussions with him, I will be resuming support, and accepting any help he wants to throw my way.Īfter trying some mods to improve visuals and get something more realistic looking, Valerian transformed KSP into something really good looking, and he was really happy with the result, but felt that something was still missing. Further, kind enough to keep this mod alive during my absense. Should he return, I will gladly relinquish the mod and provide any assistance needed by Valerian to resume support. All credit for this mod belongs to the original author, and licensing will continue to be Apache 2.0. I've cloned his OP and updated it to reflect changes in support. For reference, Stock Visual Enhancements has a 'visual' pack for OPM if you install that visual mod that may be of you liking.NOTE: not been active for awhile and has given me his blessing to adopt this fine mod and keep it alive for the community in his absence. Maybe at some point this mod will be updated but it is not in my current plans to update it in the near future. Secondly, this mod is still not really in working order with all the latest versions of mods like Scatterer etc. %longitudeOfAscendingNode = PoodsOPMVO/Textures/poodUrlumTilt.ddsīasically replace the current planetMaps.cfg with that shown above. %longitudeOfAscendingNode = PoodsOPMVO/Textures/urlumRing Edited Octoby soarpotmanįor anyone ( Feelerino ) trying to hack this into working order on their 1.7.* installs, the following change to the planetMaps.cfg is required to get the Gas Giant base textures working again, as I know some have wondered how to resolve = PoodsOPMVO/Textures/sarnusRing If this is the case, I might take a shot at it myself, although I'm not very excited to load up KSP 15x in quick succession. Judging by the casual attitude of Poodmund, I'm guessing that it wouldn't be very hard to fix most of these, and it seems to me that "fixing" would mostly involve translating config files to the changed formats of the parent mods. Outer gas giant clouds don't work with EVE + scatterer I observed a Sarnus satellite not going into its shadow in map view (might be broken even without OPMVO) Thatmo configs apparently don't load at all (maybe others too, I haven't bothered to systematically cross-examine each satellite, it's just the visual difference for Thatmo is most striking) I can confirm a couple of other things mentioned in the thread: I think you can still get clouds onto gas giants if you tell scatterer to draw ontop of EVE clouds, as others pointed out, however the results I got this way are underwhelming compared to what I have with my 1.3.0 install. I've recently been testing a fresh install of 1.4.2 with no (complete) success so far. The last composition where OPM, OPMVO, scatterer, and EVE all worked together as expected for me was on 1.3.0 (haven't tried 1.3.1). Is there any hope other than going back to 1.3.1? But no indication that this works with 1.4.5 and the latest OPM/Kopernicus, EVE, SVE+SVT, Scatterer, etc. Then started underwater inspections for the precise locations of all the 17 fuel tanks of the ship. Workers of the contractor SMIT International (a Dutch shipwreck salvage firm) hitched to the toppled vessel a craned barge and other equipment. On January 26, 2012, started the fuel-pumping preparations. It subsequently became a major cruise ship safety issue. The vessel's sinking was a true disaster - both as lost lives and financial losses. The liner sank on the evening of January 13 (2012) - Friday 13th (this combination again) off Tuscany's West Coast, near Giglio Island. For your convenience, follows a navigation menu with shortcuts jumping down directly to salvage plan, removal operation and procedures, wreckage removal progress, Captain's wiki.Īfter reading all these details, you will understand why Concordia's sinking was declared the most "stupidly unique" passenger ship disaster of all time. This page is mainly a review of the salvage operation and the accident's impact on the shipowner and the cruising industry in general. The vessel's 3,5-years salvage operation turned out to be the most expensive and the riskiest ever conducted. In July 2014, the wreck was towed to Port Genoa for dismantling. Hours later, the vessel capsized and in the following year was declared a total loss (not usable). The accident was caused by a human error that resulted in a collision/allision with an underwater rock. This large-sized (115,000 GT tons) and beautifully designed vessel was wrecked off Giglio Island (Italy) on January 13, 2012. The ship operator was Costa Cruises (one of Carnival Corporation's subsidiaries and its second-largest brand by fleet and annual passenger traffic).Ĭoncordia was the first of all five Concordia-class liners operated by Costa Crociere - together with the sisterships and fleetmates Serena (2007), Pacifica (2009), Favolosa (2011) and Fascinosa (2012), plus the CCL-Carnival Cruise Line's vessel Carnival Splendor (2008). The vessel was designed and constructed in Italy and by one of world's largest shipbuilding companies - Fincantieri - at its Sestri Ponente Shipyard (near Genova/Genoa). The 2006-built cruise ship Costa Concordia was a Carnival Corporation-owned Concordia-Class passenger liner identified by IMO number 9320544, MMSI number 9320544 (Italy- flagged) and CallSign IBHD. |
